This commemorative volume, prepared by the Faculty of Law at Marmara University, is dedicated to the memory of Associate Professor Dr Mehmet Somer. Throughout his academic career, Somer made significant contributions to theory and practice through his original research in commercial law, particularly private insurance law. He also garnered attention for his work on cooperative law and capital markets law, and he is remembered with respect and affection by his students and colleagues for his teaching. His academic rigour, professional integrity and human values left a lasting mark on the faculty community.
