The Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University has organised national and international events since 1957, teaching innovative, creative, and critical thinking skills in art and design. The Faculty participated in the Istanbul Design Biennial through its exhibition "Every Beauty Has a Flaw / No Beauty without a Flaw". Students from the Industrial Product Design, Graphic Design, Interior Architecture, and Textile Design departments re-examined the concept of "imperfection", questioning the norms of mass production and promoting individuality, originality, and experimental design. They established an aesthetic dialogue with the ideal of perfection, underscoring the importance of critical thinking and experimental production in art and design education.
